Abstract
| A black and white photograph of child identified as Harvey Baier standing in a plowed field next to a three wheel tractor. Identifying information on the back of the photograph indicates the location as being Ebner's Coulee Road in La Crosse, WI, circa 1922. It also states the following information: "One of the rather short-lived firms in La Crosse was the Happy Farmer Tractor Company. Here, in a picture provided by Steve Baier, is one of that company's models in about 1922. It was steel-wheeled, of course, with lugs and a tricycle front wheel. The tractor is hitched to a disk-harrow tool. The small boy is not identified." Below that information is the following: "Happy Farmer tractor photo scene in Ebner's Coulee, about 1924. Disk is made by LaX Plow Co. Harvey Baier is child standing in picture. 1976. |
