Abstract | View from street level of the Gile Building, located on the 400 block of Main Street in downtown La Crosse, WI. The building held the Post Office from 1880 until 1890, then the Doerflinger from 1897 until 1903, when the building was destroyed by fire. The photograph shows several unidentified individuals on the street corner, and captures some business signs containing the names "Edgar Palmer, Dentist" and "Joseph Gutman," among others. |
