Abstract	The objective of this project is to study the generation gap between Hmong parents and their children. A series of oral history interviews was conducted on the lives of Hmong adolescents, adults, and elders in the La Crosse community. Focusing on family life, education, religion, and other intergenerational topics, this research has revealed the existence of a significant generational gap between Hmong youth and their parents. The core issue dividing the generations is the conflict between maintaining traditional Hmong culture versus Americanization.
