Abstract
| This photograph was published in the La Crosse Tribune on August 16, 1961. The photograph's caption reads: "Construction crews are digging holes for installing storm sewer on 4th Street at Pearl Street, shown in the two photos at the left. Fourth Street traffic is being re-routed on Cass, 7th and La Crosse Streets. Storm sewer already has been laid on Pearl from Front to 4th. More will be laid on 4th from Pearl to King, on Jay from 4th to 5th, on 5th from Jay to King. The photo at the right shows the hole being dug for a base for the Market Square Parking Ramp. A 388-car ramp is expected to be completed shortly before Christmas."
