Abstract | This photograph was published in the La Crosse Tribune on September 1, 1966 with the article "4th-Main Hole Now Is 'Man-Lay Garden.'" The photograph's caption reads: "Phillip A. Dyer, who submitted it, shows the name selected for the garden to Burt Nelson (center) of Peter Nelson & Son Construction Co., and George Fried, business agent of Bricklayers Local 1. Wednesday, 26 bricklayers volunteered their services from 5 to 8 p.m." On the envelope housing the negative is written: "September 1, 1966. Man-Lay Garden." |
