Abstract
| This photograph was published in the La Crosse Tribune on Novemner 14, 1964. The photograph's caption reads: "The Greek Week Torch in front of Main Hall at La Crosse State University was lighted shortly after noon Saturday by a flame that had been carried from Madison by relays of LCU fraternity members. Taking part in the lighting after the 130-mile journey were from left, William Stark of Sigma Tau Gamma; Howard Squires, Alpha Kappa Lambda pledge; David Kautz, Beta Sigma Chi; Robert Thompson, Alpha Kappa Lambda, president; and William Collins, Alpha Kappa Lambda. The runners left Madison at midnight Friday and each fraternity was responsible for about 26 miles of the run along Highway 14. Lighting the torch signaled the start of a week of activities."
