Abstract
| This photograph was published in the La Crosse Tribune on November 20, 1962. The photograph's caption reads: "Large steel litter containers, it is hoped, will be on sidewalks of the central business district before Christmas. The first one of 45 planned was given by Joseph Rohrer, (right) and was set up at 5th Avenue and Main Street. Rohrer is shown with Thomas Holstein, chairman of the civic affairs committee, and Robert Miller of the clean-up subcommittee, Greater La Crosse Chamber of Commerce."
On the envelope housing the negative is written: "November 19, 1962. Trash cans at 5th & Main placed by Chamber of Commerce." |
