Abstract
| This photograph was published in the La Crosse Tribune on October 5, 1962. The photograph's caption reads: "Drizzle and fog, light rain and threats of even heavier showers fail to diminish the spirit and/or appetites of Oktoberfest celebrants. The time of day also can mean little when the smell of hot dogs, bratwurst, sauerkraut beckons. Mrs. Edna Zenker and Charles Rucker were early samplers of the fest delicacies Friday at one of the eating spots which bears a Bavarian mockup frontage."
On the envelope housing the negative is written: "October 5, 1962. Oktoberfest - La Crosse people eating and drinking beer." |
