The photograph's caption reads: "Mrs. Linus Roehm, co-chairman of the garden show with Mrs. Gaskill, holds an exhibit keyed to William C. Bryant's book, 'The African Chief.' It is an arrangement by Mary Olson, the black container offset with red cannas and natural leaf, day lilies, hemerocallis, gloriosa, umbulatern lilies and gaillardia."
