Abstract | This photograph was published in the La Crosse Tribune on June 2, 1962. The photograph's caption reads: "The casket containing the body of Leo Anny, 1023 Caledonia St., who died after marcing in La Crosse's Memorial Day parade, is shown as it was carried into St. John's Catholic Church. Catholic War Veterans, who gave Anny a full military service, pay their respects. Anny was active in the CWV color guard and once said that he wished that when he died it could be while 'honoring Old Glory'." On the envelope housing the negative is written: "June 2, 1962. Leo Anny - funeral." |
