Abstract
| This photograph was published in the La Crosse Tribune on May 27, 1962 with the article "Many Things, When It Involves A City Street." The photograph's caption reads: "The La Crosse Post Office has received a $600 power vacuum sweeper for twice-a-week use on sidewalks bounding the building and driveways. The sweeper will not eliminate an employee, the post office said. It cleans a 26-inch swath. The sweepers are being issued to federal buildings across the nation. Shown with the sweeper are Zachary Balzeski, left, and John Urbanek."
On the envelope housing the negative is written: "May 22, 1962. Post Office sidewalk sweeper." |
