The photograph was published with the title "Double Duty" in the La Crosse Tribune on June 9, 1980, and the caption reads: "The Rev. John Steiner, who is a chaplain and captain in the Army National Guard, greets a young Cuban refugee after a recent church service at Fot McCoy. Steiner, who is a priest from St. Thomas More Catholic Church in La Crosse, is participating in two weeks of annual training at Fort McCoy with his Wisconsin Army National Guard unit, the 426th Engineer Battalion, headquartered in Onalaska." |
